This is a great pre-k owl lesson plan filled with hands-on activities! Owl art, math, manipulative, science, and cooking activities are included. There are six activities total including a owl lacing card print-out provided for you. Two owl templates are also provided; the templates go along with the owl puppet lesson. Your young learners are sure to enjoy all the play based activities.

This bear themed activity packet includes five activities. The included activities are B is for bear, bear paw prints, what do bears eat? activity, bear hole punch/lacing card activity, and bear cave gross motor activity idea. Your students are sure to have fun as they learn about bears through these play based, engaging activities! Print several pages of the bear paws. Laminate and use in a follow the bear prints game. As an extension, you could do hand print art. When their hand prints are dry, allow the children to examine the bear paw print cut outs alongside their own hand prints. Ask the children to compare and contrast the bear paw prints to their hand prints. A black and white ink saving option is included for bear paws. For the activity what bears eat, laminate the cut-outs. Put Velcro on a poster board, and put Velcro on the cut-outs. Ask the children to Velcro to the boards only the foods that bears eat. Make as many copies of B b is for bear, and place the pages in your literacy center. You may wish to laminate B b is for bear page and give children dry erase markers. The children can use dry erase markers to write letter B b, or they can copy the letter on other paper. Both colored and black and white versions are included for B b is for bear. For fine motor hole punch, let the children use a hole puncher on the circles around the bear. After using the hole puncher, the children can use string for lacing. And for gross motor bear cave activity, set up a bear cave area for children to crawl in and out. There are seven pages of activities included.

These Bat Numbers and Hermit Crab Letters are great to use as a part of a Nocturnal Animal Unit. You can discuss what nocturnal means, what animals are nocturnal including hermit crabs and bats. Next, add Hermit Crab Letters and Bat Numbers to your literacy and math centers, or to your fine motor center! Give your students dot markers. For Number Bats, let them count the bats and dot them as they count. They can write the total in the box provided. For Hermit Crab Letters, let them find the letters on the hermit crabs that match the letter at the top of the page. Let your students dot the matches! Hermit Crab Letters includes vowels A, E, I, O, and U in both uppercase and lowercase. It also includes a blank Hermit Crab page; write your own letters on this page! Colored and black and white pages are both included for an ink saving option! Twenty four pages of activities are included!

This math and literacy packet includes complete the patterns, two number puzzles (1-5 and 6-10), Hh is for hat, dot letters, and “My wish is…” writing project. All the activities are St. Patrick’s Day themed. For dot letters, write a letter on the paper provided; give the children dot markers or paint and Q-tips; finally, allow the children to find the matches, and to dot the matches. Dot letters includes a page of blank shamrocks; add your own letters to the shamrocks! “My wish is…” literacy activity can be done as a craftivity, or it can be done just as a writing project. Make copies, and cut out the literacy activity paper below. Ask the children what their wish is; write what they say on the paper. Lastly, the paper can be pasted onto a paper bag puppet project; or it can be left as is. Your Early Learners will enjoy all of these hands on math and literacy activities!
